Kai The Label started from the water. “Kai” means sea in Hawaiian, and it just fit. The idea came after a surf, walking back with my board under one arm and my towel slipping off trying to get back to my hotel with the sun shining on my back.

I remember trying to find something simple I could throw on after a swim, but nothing felt quite right and that’s where the idea for Kai the Label began.

I wanted to create skirts that capture that feeling. Easy to wear, minimal, yet still super cute whether you’re by the beach or the river.

I hope you love Kai The Label as much as I loved creating it.
